For Pain "I recently started to take tramdol 50mg after taking 10/325 hydrocodone for years. I have chrnonic back pain and I thought only the hydrocodone could take care of it. Well, let me tell you, this tramadol is great! It works so much better than the hydrocodone, but without getting you all buzzed up. I thinks that it's great. I was so tired of being high all the time. It's given me my brain back."

For Pain "I was prescribed Tramadol after a herniated disc in my lower back and 50mg gives me great pain relief for about 6 hours. If the pain is really bad then 100mg works wonders as well. I have not experienced any negative side effects. This medicine also puts me in a GREAT mood and helps with some symptoms of depression which makes it much easier to get through the day. I would recommend Tramadol to anyone experiencing pain."

For Back Pain "I took two tramadol and had the best night's sleep for longer than I can remember. I have chronic back pain I got from from when I was younger where I was in a tournament fight. I am 40 now with a kid and working 50 plus hours per week (mostly sitting down). I have taken everything and been in physical therapy and nothing seems to work. I hate being in a fog of the other narcotics. I want to enjoy my life and my family not be oblivious to it. This is amazing. I don't want side effects so I'll keep it to a minimum."

For Fibromyalgia "Tramadol saved my life. Fibromyalgia had just about taken my life away. I was constantly in pain, tired, and often in a mental fog. It was causing major problems in my marriage, because the pain, fatigue, and fog made me a horrible husband and father. I wasn't doing my part around the house because of the pain, fatigue, and lack of cognitive clarity. My wife was resentful, and rightfully so. I finally ended up in a Doctor's office in tears - I told him I was "crazy". He said I was not crazy, I was ill. He prescribed tramadol and Cymbalta. My life has completely changed: no pain, no fatigue, and no fog. My life and marriage are restored, and we are happier than ever. Daily, I thank God for a good, knowledgeable doctor, Cymbalta and Tramadol."

For Pain "New reports are claiming Ultram to be highly addictive - the FDA must have decided that the drug works to well and it is too cheap so they put out these reports.I have never felt anything that would make me addicted except pain relief that enables me to perform my daily tasks. People need to speak up quickly. My Doctor has decided he wants me to try Elavil which caused rapid weight gain and Cymbalta or Celebrex (very expensive - hmmm!) which caused sexual dysfunction and I felt like a zombie."

For Back Pain "I have been on Ultram for a few years now I had a spinal fusion and they put me on Ultram 50 mg for pain every 4 hours and I must say it helps me tremendously! Even more then Percocet or Vicodin so I would highly recommend this medication for back pain."

For Chronic Pain "Tramadol is a good medication that can take care of a wide range of pain. This medication is a great sub to addictive meds. A medication that only manages the pain and does not manage your mental state."

For Pain "I have severe back pain and have been on everything. Nothing works better then Ultram. I still go to work and don't feel like I'm in a tunnel. I also have no problems with withdrawl symptoms, when I stop taking them."

For Pain "I had a very serious seizure combining Ultram with Prozac, something which unfortunately many doctors are not aware of (like my brother, who is an ER doctor and disputed me that this was the cause until I steered him to the relevant literature, since I too am a scientist). However, I was also at fault for forgetting to tell my doctor that I was taking Prozac from my primary care doctor. I essentially was out for several minutes, severely bit my tongue, had a concussion from hitting the floor. I was very close to getting into the car to take my 5 year old to preschool. So please, please, be very very careful when mixing prescription medicines."

For Chronic Pain "I have been one of the many finding myself suffering severe chronic pain, fibromyalgia, cervical radiculopathy, severe osteoarthritis in all my joints and 3 bulging discs. Stripped of all my pain meds and only allowed sporadic usage of ultram. I went from 125mmg fentanyl every 48 hour w/ Vicodin for break through pain to one ultram every 4 to 6 hrs. I might as well be taking a baby aspirin every 4 to 6 hrs."

For Pain "I have been using Ultram for about 2 months. I think this medicine works very well for pain, however the withdrawal side effects for me have been bad. If I stop taking this medicine for two days I experience cold sweats, hot flashes, can't sleep, my legs get restless at night. I find that I have to take the medicine without having pain, just to feel like my normal self again. The restless legs is probably the worst part of the withdrawal symptoms. It does however work fairly well for pain if taken regularly."

For Chronic Pain "I've been taking tramadol for back and knee pain from a motorcycle accident for over a year, it is a great pain reliever that eliminates 90% of my pain issues without making me feel drowsy like hydrocodone or oxycodone. It controls my pain and I still live my normal life."

For Pain "I am 29 years old. I have fibromyalgia and hypermobility disorder. Without this drug I would be worthless. I used to be a grumpy person that could not accomplish anything without major difficulty. I have taken Ultram ER 300 for the last 3 years. I have never been without this medicine for more than 12 hours. I am now 3 days off this medicine because I ran out by accident. This has been the most miserable experience of my life. I am on the verge of getting written up at work. I can not focus. I feel horrible. I cant go to sleep at night and I cant wake up in the morning. This is truly miserable. I feel as if I am being hit by a truck several times a day."

For Back Pain "I have had a degenerative disk for almost 10 years, and have taken Ultram for the past year and a half. For almost 8 years, due to no insurance, I took nothing and lived with the pain. No narcotic such as hydrocodone has ever touched the pain, but Ultram completely eradicates the pain! It helps my mood and I'm able to work long hours with no pain. As of July 1, 2014 it is a schedule 4 narcotic and now I'm unsure whether I'll be able to get the dosage I need."

For Back Pain "Good at relieving pain for a short duration (4 hours at a time) with few side effects. I found that at 200mg/day my pain was cut in half and I had increased energy and a brighter mood. I have used this medicine for 4 years now and find that it is very effective for about four months.. and then effectiveness decreases. At that point, my doctor switches me to a narcotic for three to four weeks and then I can continue with the tramadol over again with a "reset" in the effectiveness factor. The strongest negative for me is getting off the tramadol... withdrawl effects include major mood swings, insomnia, and dizziness. But overall, it is quite effective and has very few bad effects for me while taking it."

For Back Pain "I have found that this medication not only relieves my chronic pain but I am able to take it and still work- I could not do that with the standard narcotic pain relievers which are typically prescribed. Thanks to my doctor's recommendation of this medicine I am able to live a much less painful and much more fulfilling life."

For Chronic Pain "Tramadol works as expected. It does just enough so I can remain functional without stepping up to stronger painkillers. Tramadol only works for me if I take the doses consistently. When I first started taking Tramadol it took about a week for the medicine to be fully effective."

For Pain "I have been taking this medication for about two years. At first it completely killed the pain and then gradually i have built a tolerence to it. The days that it works and feel good it is awesome but other days i wish i had other options. I like the fact that it is non narcotic and seems not as habit forming."

For Back Pain "After car accident, back surgery, I have failed back syndrome, severe sciatica, neuropathy soles of feet, meragia (thighs numbness or pain in the outer thigh due to pinched or compressed nerve), I have used Ultram since 1998. First I used it just when required and slowly increased to 2- 3 day and it gives me life. I can keep my pain level at an endurable level and still teach classes, volunteer with seniors, drive car unimpaired. It is important for me. NSAIDs ate my stomach lining away. Tylenol causes heart palpitations. Some patients need this med to keep doing things and not encumbered with horrible sciatica and chronic pain, debilitating neuropathy. No cure for these conditions so must treat!"

For Pain "I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis, so am in fairly constant pain. Ultram has really been a lifesaver, allowing me to work and play. Headache is sometimes a problem, but I think almost always in combination with caffiene."

For Chronic Pain "Ultram has worked well for the multiple chronic pain issues I have and has allowed me to function though the cervical/lumber problems are becoming worse. If not for Ultram, I would be housebound & unable to move. Unfortunately, a new doctor without reason reduced the script which has resulted in my pain increasing and being unable to sometimes walk. I did further research and found the DEA final report that clearly states that doctors should not decrease or stop this med for chronic pain. They were quick to prescribe gabapentin which is one of the worst drugs taken-within 36 hours I had a severe adverse event. I filed an adverse event complaint with FDA and also had my pharmacy redline the drug so it would not be prescribed again. Read the information on meds you are taking or a doctor suggests you take before you pay for it. Sometimes the negative effects are worse than the health problem you have."

For Back Pain "I have 4 herniated discs (C1/C2 & L4/L5), Fibromyalgia, and Migraine Headaches. I also have Atrial Tachycardia, which basically means that my heart beats at extremely fast irregular rates, and the surgery that fixes 95% of these cases won't work on me. My Doctor put me on Ultram 60mg 3 times daily and Morphine Sulphate Extended Release 50mg recently. I have to admit, at first I wasn't thrilled about the Ultrams. I'd taken them in lower doses before and told my wife I'd be better off on Tylenol. But I gave them a shot and to my surprise the pain relief was amazing! I love Ultram because I don't live in "FOG" all the time. I can drive, go to work, play with my Baby and spend time with my family. I would recommend Ultram!"

For Back Pain "Around the same time this year I have had a baby and shoulder surgery for osteoarthritis. Hence, I suffered from both shoulder pain AND post-partum depression. Percocet didn't stop the pain and Zoloft made me feel worse. My doctor prescribed Ultram and it is now my miracle pill! It helps with both issues. It allows me to be a normal functioning mom. I love how it helps my mood and physical pain!"

For Back Pain "I told my physician that I would no longer take Percocet for my chronic back pain. He suggested I try tramadol and assured me it is not a narcotic. I have been talking the tramadol now for a year and although it is no miracle drug it has managed my pain immensely. I can finally sleep at night and function normally. One down side to the drug for me is if I run out and the withdraw starts it is nasty. Be careful you stop the drug abruptly. Good health to all. Rob"

For Chronic Pain "Takes care of my chronic knee pain. Due to cancer, I am not a candidate for a replacement at this time, though I am need of them. Tramadol keeps me from suffering. I usually take 2 daily, prescription is for 4 daily. I up it to three if I have a day where I am very active. Everything has side effects and I can live with Tramadol. I like that I can drive and go to work while taking it."
